mxGUI

On- and Offline Audio Production Software for mc² and Headless Consoles

The controls for complex systems need to be transparent. The mxGUI user interface software delivers just that. This control software will win you over with one key benefit, which is crucial for users as well as purchasing managers: it helps to save time, money and nerves. Some audio engineers use it to pre-configure their next project on the train that takes them to the venue.

mxGUI allows mc² mixing consoles to be set up via computer (pre-production), and also to control one of up to 32 “mixer slices” of an A__UHD Core. For hands-on convenience, a new crystal Versatile Broadcast Console can be connected as a physical controller—even in remote or dsitributed production scenarios.

mxGUI provides remote access to the control surface—real-time control independent of location—and is touch-screen optimized. mxGUI runs on both Windows and macOS (Apple silicon is supported).

mxGUI — THE PERFECT ON- AND OFF-LINE TOOL

Feedback from customers confirms that mxGUI has established itself as a standard tool, and scarcely any sound engineer would want to do without the benefits of this software. Thanks to smoother workflows and the best possible pre-preparation, mxGUI means less stress in high-pressure moments.

The software plays its trump cards in two different applications: online for parallel operation of systems or access to one A__UHD Core mixing “slice”, and offline for the preparation of productions, snapshots and much more.

‘Mise en place’ for sound engineers — the offline application

Especially in production preparation, mxGUI will impress you with its ease of use. It allows crosspoints and dynamic settings to be performed offline and incorporated later. Snapshots and snapshot sequences can easily be set up before the actual event. Since the software also runs on laptops, you can prepare for tomorrow’s live show today, even from your hotel room (or the bar) — without having to use an expensive studio. A further advantage: because mxGUI’s “virtual control surface” is identical to that on the console, staff can be easily trained without the need for “real” hardware.

Access to nearly all features — the online application

More security during an ongoing production, and a perfect overview every time are also ensured by mxGUI. A number of different users can, at any time, monitor every switch and parameter alteration, and can intervene via a remote control such as a new crystal console, even during an active production. On-site operators can thus be supported with ease.
