Lawo’s radio processing cores at the facility can be operated from just about anywhere using an OB van that is, in fact, a sophisticated remote which controls the hardware back home.

“Radio in a Bag”, a concept devised by Lawo, has enabled thousands of budding and seasoned radio makers to entertain and inform their audiences over a 4G connection where necessary, complete with all the live on-line interaction that listeners have come to expect.

This, in turn, sparked the idea that several reporters and hosts could work from their respective areas and leverage the processing power at a central data center, allowing them to report only minutes after a breaking-news event.
